Founded in 1979 by Gordon Rayner, California Pavement Maintenance has become one of the West's largest pavement maintenance contractors. Our growth and reputation has been largely due to one overriding belief: Nothing Beats Quality!

CPM specializes in the repair and maintenance of existing asphalt pavement systems. CPM is a complete full-service asphalt maintenance contractor with the staff, equipment, technical expertise and determination to help our clients with problem-solving solutions that provide long-term value..

CPM, under the equipment design and manufacturing unit Rayner Equipment Systems, started building and selling RoadSavers in 1984. These machines are used by CPM, its competitors in northern California, and contractors worldwide. Many of these machines have in excess of 8,000 hours and are still running strong.

RaynGuard Protective Materials, Inc., CPM's second operating unit, produces seal coat materials for sale to other contractors and seal coat manufacturers

CPM in conjunction with Rayner Equipment Systems and RaynGuard, have achieved significant breakthroughs in the search for better pavement maintenance materials, techniques, and equipment.

We have a full in house maintenance group to care for all of our trucks and equipment. They are able to repair any piece of our equipment at a moment's notice. We even fix other contractor's equipment!

Since CPM manufacture's the RoadSaver II slurry seal equipment used by our slurry seal crews, we are know what it takes to produce and maintain machinery. The RoadSaver II is the pride and joy of CPM at work around the world. The reliability record of the RoadSaver II speaks for itself.

CPM's latest venture is seal coat manufacturing. Through RaynGuard, CPM produces and sells Steelguard 60 & 70 seal coat. This is no ordinary seal coat, using technology originally developed at Lockheed* Missiles and Space, this is truly space-age material. able to cure overnight and at temperatures down to 50ºF. Try doing that with any other seal coat!
